This week at the annual Caravan Parks Association of Queensland (CPAQ) Conference and Awards Dinner in the Gold Coast, Brisbane North Rental Village beat some outstanding competition and won the Gordan Harris Turnaround Award.
Gordon Harris was the founding President of Caravan Parks Association of Queensland in 1966. Gordon built and operated both Aspley Acres Park and Bribie Island Caravan Park and then remained interested in the industry even after selling both his parks. In 2003 Gordon was awarded life membership and in recognition of his incredible contribution this memorial award was named after him.
The Gordon Harris Turnaround Award recognises an operator that has made significant changes to their business to effectively “turn it around”.
Since acquisition we have actively transitioned those participating in troublemaking and anti-social behaviours away from the community. We have completed the Chalet Precinct Renovation Project, opened a new Community Recreational Room, built a new 52 Glendale Condos precinct, developed a 38 powered short stay area and a brand-new swimming pool due for completion in the coming weeks.
The dedicated friendly on-site team holding regular events for the residents, their high level of customer service and duty of care shown all contributes to building a great sense of community and winning this award.
Congratulations to all of the staff at Brisbane North Rental Village on your achievement!
